Cardiovascular, Stroke and Diabetic Screens
DNA offers a total lipid profile along with a comprehensive cholesterol and glucose screening at various times and places each month (see schedule below). The total lipid profile is a group of tests to determine risks for heart disease and stroke.
The costs for this test is:

$30 for Complete Lipid Profile including Triglycerides, LDL, HDL, Total Cholesterol, TC/HDL Ratio & Fasting Blood Sugar (fasting required)

Adult Immunizations
The Rutland Area Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice can provide adults 18 and older with the following Center for Disease Control (CDC) recommended immunizations, including booster shots.

Flu & Pneumonia Vaccine
Who should get a flu shot?
- All adults 18 and older who want to reduce the risk of becoming ill with influenza or transmitting it to others.
- All persons age 50 and older.
- All persons age 65 and older.
- Women who will be pregnant during the influenza season.
- People with weakened immune systems.
- Adults who have chronic pulmonary, cardiovascular, renal, hepatic, hematological disorders, diabetes, HIV, neuromuscular disorders and other chronic illnesses.
- Household contacts and caregivers of those less than 5 and over 50 years old.
Who should get a pneumonia vaccine?
All adults age 65 and older, adults age 18-64 with chronic medical conditions or systems that are immuno-suppressed, and those 65 and older who received their pneumonia shot before their 60th birthday.
How much do the vaccines cost?
Individuals who have Medicare Part B need only bring their card to receive the flu and/or pneumonia vaccine. For all others, the cost for the flu immunization is $32 and the cost for the pneumonia vaccine is $48. Cash and checks are accepted.
